I could not believe what I was hearing. After supporting her through university and believing that we would eventually settle down together, I suddenly found myself facing the possibility that she had chosen someone else.

I was devastated. I had invested years, money and emotions into the relationship, and I felt as though everything I had done had suddenly become meaningless.

The news affected me so badly that, according to my account, I even fainted when the reality fully sank in. I could not understand how the woman I had supported throughout university could suddenly be preparing to marry another man.

I cannot describe the emotions I felt when we started rebuilding our relationship. After believing that I had lost her completely, I suddenly had another opportunity to see where our relationship could go.

For me, the experience was a painful reminder of how unpredictable relationships can sometimes become. I had gone from believing that we would build a future together to watching her prepare to marry someone else.

Today, I am grateful that we eventually found our way back to communication and reconciliation. I hope that we can build our relationship on better understanding and honesty going forward.
